Savanna Flakes has taught a variety of instructional seminars for teachers and led various team dynamic workshops for numerous organizations. Savanna is a learning and development consultant specializing in instruction, inclusion, and team dynamics. Savanna holds an Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Virginia in Curriculum and Instruction, Post-Masters Certificate from George Washington University in Leadership and Administration, and certifications in Social Emotional Learning and Emotional Intelligence.
We meet with school leadership teams to plan and customize unique professional development for each school community. By conducting pre-consultation assessments we provide professional development that is immediately applicable to district, school and classroom goals and initiatives. Our continuous cycle of professional development enhances teacher performance and maximizes student learning. We engage teachers in interactive activities, planning time for implementation of the strategies, and time to collaborate with colleagues on differentiation. The combination of case-studies, exemplary classroom videos, practice and feedback sessions, and “high yield” instructional strategies; every teacher is able to walk away with best practices to improve student achievement.
